Get started with NM1

You write to us with your postcode and device type — then we contact you when your device can be connected to NM1's virtual power plant. Your device sells its flexibility as FCR-D to Energinet, the earnings are shared with you, and your share is paid out quarterly as an ordinary bank transfer — see what your device can earn under calculate your earnings.

Three steps from sign-up to earnings

  1. Step 1

    Sign up

    Email us your postcode and device type. That is all we need to begin.

  2. Step 2

    We contact you

    We get back to you when your device can be connected. Plug for electric radiators is sold in the webshop; HeatSync and Balance are coming soon.

  3. Step 3

    Install and earn

    Everything is self-installation — you just need stable wifi, typically 2.4 GHz. Once you have signed up with NM1, your device can earn through Energinet's daily FCR-D auction, where each hour is bought separately.

Earnings depend on, among other things, market prices, Energinet's needs, regulation and your own consumption and equipment, and they can change over time. FCR-D prices are set in daily auctions. Historical earnings are no guarantee of future earnings.
